A leading privately owned contractor based in South Wales are seeking an experienced construction biased Accounts Assistant to join their business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a privately-owned business with an extensive background as a reputable contractor. The Accounts Assistance will play a key part in the development and future of the business, reporting directly to the Accounts Manager.
About the role of Accounts Assistant
This regional contractor traditionally specialises in groundworks & earthworks packages for leading Tier 1 framework clients contractors across the South Wales & South West region. The role of Accounts Assistant will be joining a comprehensive and experienced Finance Team.
Responsibilities for Accounts Assistant
Log payments through the banking systems
Provide support to staff within the business and external clients
Assist with preparation of monthly reports for the board and pulling contracts together
Monitor and assist with credit control
Requirements for Accounts Assistant
Minimum qualification at A level Accountancy
Previous experience in the construction industry is essential
Strong customer service skills both written and verbal
Willingness to learn & develop skill set
Proactive approach to workload
Attention to detail
Supportive and team player nature
