The Opportunity
Due to significant growth, Angus and Oink is looking to enhance its food processing operations with a Team Lead for Blending. This is a key role for the business where the hired individual will be involved in the day-to-day operations.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, main responsibilities include the manufacture of blended spice products at the Deeside facility for Angus & Oink Ltd. The role will involve working within our blending team to ensure the highest quality products are produced within the technical framework of the business.
The Blending Process
Our busy blending facility produces spice blends that are formulated from various raw materials including herbs, spices, salts, and sugars. We use state-of-the-art machinery to mix and produce the finished product. The blender operator shall use provided recipes to formulate the blends and use the machinery as directed by the site leader. The role does involve manual lifting and a need for computer and numerical literacy.
The Role
* Blending spice mixes to specific recipes
* Work to planned and immediate needs of the business
* Awareness of allergens and cross-contamination risks
* Housekeeping, hygiene, and cleanliness
* Physical ability to lift 25 Kg loads
* Good numerical and written capabilities are required to ensure proper operational practices are followed
* Control raw material stock levels and ordering with team
* Monitor and support packing line team

Requirements
Above all, this role requires a very strong player willing to get hands-on and work with a fantastic product range and an even more fantastic team of people. There is a level of physical work involved, so fitness and health are key for any hire.
Food and Drink experience is essential, as quality of product and ingredient control is such a key part of what we do.
