Autograph Recruitment is seeking a meticulous and dependable Payroll Officer/Bookkeeper on behalf of our client. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join a dynamic team, managing payroll and bookkeeping tasks for a variety of clients while ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process payroll for diverse clients, ensuring timely and accurate execution in line with company policies and legal requirements.
2. Perform payroll-related data entry tasks, including setting up new hires, terminations, and updates to employee details.
3. Analyse payroll data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly in collaboration with authorities.
4. Conduct bookkeeping tasks for clients, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial data in accounting software.
5. Support the preparation of management reports by assisting accountants with regular reconciliations.
Requirements
1. Proven experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
2. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
3. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry.
4. Strong understanding of bookkeeping, double-entry accounting, and their impact on financial statements.
5. Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
