Our partner has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to take the lead in designing and developing embedded software and Windows-based user interfaces.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Embedded Software Engineer:
1. Lead the end-to-end development of software applications, from concept design and requirements definition to detailed design and coding.
2. Design and develop software applications, covering all stages from concept to detailed coding.
3. Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
4. Oversee all software requirements and address issues throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Create robust software with a focus on fault management, fault reporting, and application health monitoring.
6. Develop and maintain supporting documentation, including interface control documents, user manual inputs, and fault code lists with corrective actions.
7. Assist customers with integration, commissioning, and problem resolution, including on-site support when necessary.
Key Skills and Experience for the Senior Embedded Software Engineer:
Essential:
1. Strong degree in a related discipline.
2. Experience of embedded software design and appreciation of associated hardware.
3. Strong mathematics background.
4. Experience in leading technical software projects.
5. Experience of writing C/C++ for embedded applications.
6. Experience of the design and development of control systems, preferably of motor control principles and theory and interfaces.
Embedded Software/Firmware:
1. Experience of using STM32 processors and Keil uVision development environment and tools.
2. Communications such as Ethernet, RS422/UART, CAN, SPI etc.
3. Hardware interfacing, GPIO, ADC, DACs etc.
Windows/User Interfaces:
1. Understanding of developing desktop application and user-centric interface design.
2. QT and QT Creator– multiplatform development environment in C++.
3. Visual Studio C++ and C#.
4. Low latency programming techniques.
5. Networking (TCP/UDP).
