What you'll be doing:
As our Project and Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for engaging both internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of projects within the Research and Innovation programme. You will be responsible for delivering innovation projects which will also include managing teams built up from members of staff from across Anglian Water as well as line managing university students and contractors when required.
You will be responsible for supporting the Strategic Innovation and Shop Window Lead to identify new projects or avenues to explore through the Shop Window. You will also have the opportunity to support and deliver projects as part of the Ofwat Innovation Fund. This will require the ability to get to a working knowledge of many parts of our organisation, understand the priorities of our business, work with stakeholders to articulate problems to external solution providers and to articulate the opportunity of external suppliers to internal parties.
Alongside this, you will support and work alongside the Shop Window, Supplier Engagement and Communications functions of Research & Innovation as well as the wider innovation ecosystem for the development, delivery and integration of projects through the Shop Window.
What does it take to be successful?
* Previous Project Management experience is preferred.
* Basic data analysis, development of benefits realisation plan and business case development.
* Operational experience (water and/or water recycling) would be an advantage.
* Self-motivated with experience of working autonomously and independently, but within the boundaries of an established project and communications plan.
* Excellent communication skills and an ability to forge effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
* Experience of communicating with different audiences across a range of channels.
* Experience of translating complicated topics into engaging and easy-to-understand communications.
* Credibility and confidence to be the external face of the business.
* Excellent writing skills.
* Confident presenting to an audience.
