The paediatric research team in the NIHR Clinical Research Facility at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) are delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our award-winning research team.
We are looking for a full-time Band 6 Paediatric Research Sister to join our team of over 25 Research Nurses, Clinical Research Practitioners and Clinical Trials Assistants.
The role will provide regular contact with children, young people and their families both in the hospital and community delivering research studies that make a real difference to future patient care.
As a Band 6 Paediatric research sister you will:-
* Manage a team of clinical research staff
* Provide specialist research and clinical care to research participants
* Manage, coordinate and implement research projects

* Extensive post-registration experience, including considerable senior band 5 experience in clinical
research
* Recent management experience
* Excellent interpersonal communication, organization and time management skills
* Ability to work independently both in the CRF and within the community
* Be able to lead, motivate and inspire teamwork
* Demonstrate resilience and be adaptable to differing demands
* Evidence of teaching and supporting learners in practice
* Core work hours are Monday - Friday 8-4 but you must be able to work flexible hours including
shifts and night duty rotation as required
* A car driver with a full driving license who is willing to travel to various locations across
Southampton and the Wessex region.
