Description Salary: £43,587 - £45,878 (Inclusive of 5% market supplement) Hours per week: 37 hours Interview date: Tuesday 06 May and Wednesday 07 May 2025 Specialist Assessment, Intervention and Family Time Team - Transforming Lives for Children and Young people. We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Social Worker to join our dedicated SAIFT team. The Specialist Assessment, Intervention and Family Time Team sit alongside the Support and Safeguarding Teams and Social Workers within our team undertake complex parenting assessments for children and young people who are subject to pre and care proceedings, on their behalf. This includes proceedings within our Family Drug and Alcohol Court (FDAC) where our Social Workers undertake the role of assessing Social Worker. As a Social Worker within SAIFT, you would be allocated a number of complex assessments however you would not case hold and as such, are afforded the ability to fully focus on your assessments. The nature of the role means that although you will have ample work, you are afforded autonomy and flexibility in terms of your workload which helps to promote a positive work/life balance. We encourage an environment of learning and strongly promote CPD. We encourage workers within the team to develop specialisms within their areas of interest and deliver training. The successful candidate must be a fully qualified Social Worker and will have a minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience within children’s safeguarding. They will need to possess strong knowledge and experience of case management in pre-proceedings and care proceedings and have proven experience of undertaking complex assessment work. The ability to work under pressure and manage their caseload in an organised, efficient, and motivated manner will be essential. Why us?
