We are currently looking for a Deputy Manager to join our team at a four-bedroomed children's home. We encourage those who have experience in a senior or management role working with children and young people presenting Behavioral, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD) including low self-esteem, self-harming, and challenging behaviors to apply. The role is 40 hours per week involving shift work including nights and weekends, along with sleepovers. The Deputy Manager will support and deputize for the home's Registered Manager, supervising carers, delivering therapeutic specialist services, and achieving outstanding outcomes for children. The role is diverse and challenging, requiring flexibility, effective planning, and the ability to promptly respond to challenging situations.

Person Specification for the role:
* You must have a full clean driving license.
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent is a minimum requirement.
* Be an active team player with good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* You must be flexible, sometimes with short notice.
* You must be available to cover the managerial on-call rota; during this period, you must be available to attend the home should there be any safeguarding concerns raised.
* Ensure that working practices are in full compliance with all regulatory bodies, including Ofsted, Fire Authority, Health and Safety Executive, and Environmental Health.
* Understand and support the implementation of the Equality and Diversity Policy and Procedure and support anti-discriminatory procedures for both staff and young people.
* Work with the Registered Manager regarding issues within the home, updating on progress or difficulties in relation to staff or young people and advising if management intervention is required.
