Role Purpose:
To contribute as a key member of the payroll team, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll delivery for approximately 1,400 employees in the UK on a monthly basis.
Main Responsibilities:
* Inputting and maintaining employee records within the payroll system accurately and on time.
* Generating reports and reconciling payroll for approval.
* Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and reconciling payments with HMRC.
* Administering statutory pay, deductions, and equity-based compensation.
* Verifying compliance with minimum wage regulations.
* Preparing data for tax year-end processes and pension contributions.
* Investigating payroll discrepancies and resolving employee, HR, and external queries.
* Delivering accurate and reliable payroll information.
* Supporting ad hoc administrative tasks and payroll-related projects.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience in a similar payroll role.
* Proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., ADP iHCM).
* Strong Excel skills, including vlookups.
* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
* Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation.
* Commitment to confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Relevant payroll certification (e.g., CIPP or equivalent).
