The main focus of the role is to maintain and grow an existing client base whilst actively looking for new business in the Key Account Sector (30+ Units). It’s essential to maximise our share of all business opportunities (new, used, rentals, aftermarket) by selling to an existing KAM account portfolio of Linde accounts.
The Business Development work would be within the NR, IP, PE, CB & CO postcodes, in order to focus and captivate the most from the region. The full range of Linde Material Handling Equipment is in scope, along with Intralogistics solutions and racking, in order to achieve targets agreed with the Sales Director.
Working together with other departments, the Key Account / Business Development Manager will ensure agreed service levels are maintained, customers retained and new prospects won.

5. Ensure sufficient contact is made at all levels within a customer/prospect account as part of a development strategy.
6. Attend and actively participate in regular sales meetings as part of a highly motivated and successful team.

The ideal candidate will have:
1. Direct sales experience, ideally capital goods equipment or logistics.
2. Product, sector and industry knowledge, commercially minded.
3. Knowledge of storage and logistics systems.
4. Understanding of marketing principles and account planning processes.
You will be:
1. Able to communicate convincingly both orally and in writing to all levels.
2. Numerically competent.
3. PC literate.
