We have an amazing new opportunity for a Technical Specialist (BSS Service Fulfilment) to join the Customer & Commercial Enablement team.
In this role, you be essential in keeping our platforms and services running smoothly, supporting the delivery of key products that drive success at SLM. You’ll collaborate with multiple teams and handle everything from platform health to tackling sophisticated systems, so strong problem-solving and analytical skills are a must.
You’ll need a solid grasp of both on-premise and cloud tech, plus a deep knowledge of networks, firewalls, WAFs, and load balancers. Good interpersonal skills are key, as you’ll be explaining technical stuff to non-tech folks.

The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience:
1. Previous proven experience in a similar Technical Specialist role with a background in IT support and assurance with in-depth experience with OSS/BSS systems
2. Solid skills in setting up, maintaining, and fixing provisioning systems, with a solid background in Java development
3. Experience with identity platforms like Azure AD, Okta, and Ping Identity to handle user login, permissions, and single sign-on
4. Extensive experience with SQL, encompassing complex query writing, database architecture, and working with relational database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server
5. Hands-on experience with UNIX-based systems, including system configuration, automation via shell scripting, and performance tuning
The other stuff we are looking for
We'd also love you to bring:
1. Experience with AWS services, security, and platform
2. Dev Sec Ops toolchains (Selenium, Jenkins, Git)
3. Collaboration Tools (Teams, Jira, Atlassian)
4. Working knowledge of platform assurance and service management tools including assurance
5. A solid grasp of database platforms and engines (Oracle/MongoDB)
