Join our team as a Payroll Control Manager at Sodexo in Salford, where you'll bring your payroll expertise to lead a dedicated team in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for thousands of employees. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining compliance, enhancing processes, and supporting strategic projects that help us deliver quality services across multiple regions. What you’ll do:
* Lead the Payroll Control Team to process payroll for multiple Sodexo segments, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
* Execute statutory payroll reporting, including Real Time Information submissions, HMRC requirements, and end-of-year updates.
* Manage the Sodexo Childcare scheme and support employees with related queries through the Benefits and Rewards portal.
* Ensure payroll compliance with auto-enrolment and pension legislation, collaborating with the Head of Pensions.
* Reconcile payroll postings to SAP and other third-party accounts, working closely with finance.
* Prepare annual P11D forms, process tax settlements, and oversee NHS pay scales for healthcare workers.
* Drive team performance with regular meetings, strategic planning, and open communication.
What you bring:
* 5-10 years of experience in managing high-volume payroll, with expertise in Real Time Information and pension processes.
* Familiarity with payroll systems like SAP or other large ERP systems.
* Proven leadership experience, managing and developing a team of six or more people.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to process improvement.
* Excellent relationship-building skills, able to work closely with HR, finance, and other stakeholders.
* Knowledge of UK payroll compliance and experience working in a Shared Service Centre environment.
