Associate Sustainability Consultant

Working as part of the Sustainability and Physics team, we are seeking a candidate with experience of providing bespoke sustainability and wellbeing guidance, zero carbon strategies and plans for buildings and/or masterplans and experience of the full breadth of activities required to deliver sustainable outcomes within the Built Environment.
Your next role
1. Sustainability project and service support (including managing a portfolio of projects and contributing to the development of new sustainability service offers)
2. Project leadership and direction/mentorship of more junior team members.
3. Production of technical guidance and analysis to influence sustainability strategies (including leading workshops to help clients define their strategic sustainability brief).
4. Providing written comments and producing reports and presentations with excellent visual and grammatical quality.
5. Working as part of multidisciplinary teams (including, but not limited to attending meetings with architects, planners, government agencies and clients as the project lead).
6. Formulating external presentations for outreach and business development purposes.
Your skills & experience
1. Working knowledge of wellbeing and sustainable design techniques, relevant to the construction industry and an understanding of the UK (particularly GLA) Planning process.
2. Experience in undertaking and reviewing technical analysis, and the development of suitable responsive strategies.
3. Experience producing high quality graphical and written outputs.
4. Strong facilitation and team working skills and a drive to deliver outstanding results.
5. Sustainability assessment qualifications (eg. BREEAM, WELL, LEED) and evidence of practical competence of their application.
6. Exuding passion and enthusiasm for the built environment to support human outcomes and fair distribution of value.
7. Relevant Degree in Engineering or Sustainability and preferably chartered with a relevant professional institution.
8. Experience completing or managing embodied carbon calculations and corresponding analysis.
9. Understanding of the principles of the circular economy.
