Role overview
Working as part of the Indemnity Team, as our Technical Specialist, you'll use your expertise to identify and process contractual breach customers to achieve optimal claims outcomes. You'll be investigating a portfolio of these potential contractual breaches, handle a portfolio of MIB (Motor Insurance Bureau) claims and handle a small portfolio of Peril specific losses where required.
Job details - you'll need to have demonstrable experience in:
* Triaging new suspected contractual breach claims and assessing indemnity, including contacting the customer to obtain a more accurate understanding
* Instigating all appropriate enquiries including the instruction of relevant suppliers (including private investigators and intelligence searches) and evaluate any further evidence supplied through the investigation process
* Assessing and making decisions as to whether to indemnify customers and communicate these outcomes
* Utilising predictive analytics and data to identify cohorts of riskier claims for a pro-active approach to reviewing these
* Reviewing and considering referrals into the Indemnity Team from Peril areas to assess whether these are new leaders to pursue
* Handling a small portfolio of MIB claims and Peril specific losses - both with the aim to obtain the optimal financial outcome and protect against risk
Essential skills we would love you to have:
* Experience of handling motor insurance claims (including handling MIB claims, rules and processes) combined with the knowledge of claims investigation processes
* Excellent knowledge of indemnity principles, including insurance contract, Road Traffic Act and MIB Articles of Association (including Article 75)
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to solve problems
