An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Shrewsbury & Telford Hospital Heart Assessment Team for a Departmental Administrator. This is a permanent role for 30 hours per week, to be worked between Monday and Friday. The role will be based at Princess Royal Hospital; however, there may be the need to work across site at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The main roles for the post holder will be to:
* Provide efficient and comprehensive support within the Heart Assessment Team across site, prioritising workload to ensure deadlines are met.
* Provide necessary typing support to facilitate timely receipt of correspondence to GPs/Hospital Consultants, using digital dictation/audio typing.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Familiarity with audio/digital dictation.
* Possess or be willing to undertake NVQ level 2 and 3 in Business Administration.
* Customer care experience.
Knowledge, Behaviour and Experience
* An understanding of the requirements of the role.
* Database management.
* Knowledge of the hospital systems.
Specific Job Requirements
* Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
* Ability to work under pressure to meet service demands.
* Able to commute between sites independently.
