The Governors of Alway Primary School are seeking an exceptional and visionary Deputy Head Teacher to join our dedicated leadership team. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a passion for education, capable of inspiring both staff and pupils. We are looking for a motivated, resilient, and adaptable individual who is committed to driving whole-school improvement while ensuring the well-being and success of all pupils.
As Deputy Head Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Teacher and senior leadership team in the strategic development of the school. You will work collaboratively with staff, pupils, and parents to nurture an environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.

8. Demonstrate and promote a culture of excellence, equity and high expectations of achievement and behaviour.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on all applicants. This will include an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service and satisfactory references.
The appointment process will begin with a lesson observation in your current school, following which only selected candidates may be invited to return for interview. The next stage will then consist of a range of leadership tasks and a presentation and a formal interview with the Head Teacher and members of the governing body.
