We have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join an established Manufacturing and Production company based in Wigan.
We are seeking an electrically-biased Maintenance Engineer with mechanical experience to join our team.

As one of our skilled maintenance engineers, you will be responsible for:
1. Performing fault finding, problem-solving, and planned and preventative maintenance on plant equipment
2. Responding to internal customer needs to maximise production time
3. Conducting hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical jobs
4. Working on a variety of machines, including mixing, filling, packaging, heat tunnels, boilers, compressors, conveyance systems and more
5. Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvements to promote Health & Safety
6. Participate in the inputting of the maintenance management system (CMMS)
7. Input to and carry out Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Routines
8. Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations
Working Hours:
9. Monday to Thursday 06:00 - 14:00 and 06:00 - 12:00 Friday
10. 1 week every month 14:00 - 22:00 Monday to Thursday and 12:00 - 18:00 Friday
You will need:
11. Apprentice trained or a formal engineering qualification
12. Experience as a Maintenance Engineer preferably in a production environment
13. Experience in Mechanical & Electrical fault finding
14. Excellent skills in planning and organisation
15. Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
