Job Description
We have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join an established Manufacturing and Production company based in Wigan. We are seeking an electrically-biased Maintenance Engineer with mechanical experience to join our team. You will be working with a company that challenges today's construction industry. As one of our skilled maintenance engineers, you will be responsible for:
1. Performing fault finding, problem-solving, and planned and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
2. Responding to internal customer needs to maximise production time.
3. Conducting hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical jobs.
4. Working on a variety of machines, including mixing, filling, packaging, heat tunnels, boilers, compressors, conveyance systems, and more.
5. Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvements to promote Health & Safety.
6. Participate in the inputting of the maintenance management system (CMMS).
7. Input to and carry out Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Routines.
8. Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 06:00 - 14:00 and 06:00 - 12:00 Friday. 1 week every month 14:00 - 22:00 Monday to Thursday and 12:00 - 18:00 Friday.
You will need:
1. Apprentice trained or a formal engineering qualification.
2. Experience as a Maintenance Engineer preferably in a production environment.
3. Experience in Mechanical & Electrical fault finding.
4. Excellent skills in planning and organisation.
5. Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
