Job Title: Project Manager Rate: £570.00 Outside IR35 Need to be on site in Edinburgh 2-3 days a week We are seeking a very strong Project Manager with demonstrable experience in managing complex projects, specifically within the pensions domain. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle extensive project management demands, while not focusing on infrastructure programmes or the migration of applications into the Cloud. Key Responsibilities: - Manage multifaceted projects involving the transformation and adaptation of migrated pension products to be operational on a new platform. - Oversee the creation and updating of pension processes, calculations, outputs, and interfaces as needed to align with the migrated pension products. - Lead data migration efforts from legacy systems to the new cloud-based platform. - Define and implement the pathway to live for the programme, ensuring effective integration of various technologies, including Pega, Fuse, XPression, PowerBI, and Sapiens. - Facilitate the implementation or updates of interfaces to other systems and third parties as required. - Demonstrate strong risk management capabilities and plan mitigation activities effectively. - Manage internal and external dependencies, while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. - Escalate issues or seek support when necessary, ensuring timely resolutions. - Work independently, managing assigned areas of responsibility with minimal direction. - Maintain financial oversight and accountability, utilising WebCIPs to meet allocated budgets and forecast resources and costs accurately. - Develop strong project plans using MS Project Plan, and provide comprehensive internal and external reporting. - Engage with clients, exhibiting strong customer-facing skills. - Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across various locations, including the UK, Poland, and India. - Adapt project management methodologies to effectively utilise both Agile and waterfall approaches as the project demands. - Exhibit a high level of commitment to project success, demonstrating flexibility in working hours when necessary to ensure delivery. - Manage resources efficiently, whether fully dedicated or shared, and ensure timely requests or extensions of necessary resources. Qualifications: - Extensive experience in project management, particularly within the pensions sector. - Proven ability to think innovatively and resolve problems independently before escalating. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a track record of managing internal and external stakeholders. - A collaborative team player who values resource sharing and teamwork
