HAYWARD HAWK is working exclusively with our client hiring for a DevOps Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities Design and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless code integration, automated testing, and efficient application deployment across multiple environments. Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, to build and maintain scalable and resilient infrastructure, ensuring automation and consistency in deployments. Develop, deploy, and monitor cloud infrastructure, primarily within AWS, while optimizing system performance, security, and scalability. Create and maintain scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate routine tasks and enhance system efficiency. Implement and maintain security best practices, monitoring solutions, and quality gates within CI/CD pipelines to ensure compliance and system integrity. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product, and technical support, to streamline workflows and support team objectives. Mentor junior engineers in DevOps methodologies and tools, fostering skill development and collaboration. Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues within cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and deployed applications. Regularly review and refine DevOps processes to improve performance, reduce costs, and support agile development practices. Skills and Experience Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and Infrastructure as Code tools. Strong automation mindset, with a proactive approach to streamlining workflows and minimizing manual intervention. Deep understanding of security principles for cloud-based systems and DevOps processes, with a focus on implementing robust and reliable measures. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address challenges quickly and effectively. Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with a focus on continuous improvement and adaptability. Effective communicator and team player, with the ability to mentor junior colleagues and contribute to collaborative projects. Qualifications Bachelors degree (or higher) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. At least 5 years of experience in roles such as DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar positions. Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, are highly desirable. Familiarity with tools like Git, Bitbucket, and JIRA, and experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices. Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation and configuration management tools.
