An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-motivated and dedicated Physiotherapist to join our Recovery At Home Team, South Tyneside.
This is a unique and rewarding role which will allow you to work with, lead and support colleagues during a time of innovation and development as our team focusses on the implementation of Urgent Community response and of Virtual Wards.
You will work within Directorate One of Community Services, supported by senior colleagues who are passionate and proud of the services we deliver to our community of South Tyneside and Sunderland.

Informal visits are strongly encouraged and welcomed by contacting the Recruiting manager to arrange this., The team you will work with consists of an extensive MDT which includes nurse practitioners, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, health care assistants, therapy assistant/exercise practitioners and administrative staff. The team works closely alongside partner agencies including those from the local and voluntary sector. This is a significant strength to our team we are proud of and supports patient centred, integrated working.
The team delivers planned and unplanned care to people in their own homes, to assist in preventing hospital admission and supporting those who have recently been discharged from hospital, require enhanced intervention and short term rehabilitation support for their physical and functional health needs to remain at home. The service also covers rotation into Borrowdale House, a reablement unit.
The service is fast paced and you would be expected to see a wide range of patients who present with a variety of conditions when supporting the team clinically.
The service is committed to providing a sound environment for education and training to support the successful candidate within this role.
This role would involve working predominantly core hours of Monday to Sunday 08:00 am 20:00 pm with flexibility to the needs of the service. We offer flexible working within our service with a variety of shift patterns and flexibility to work until 8pm and to cover weekends.
Candidates must have a valid UK Driving Licence.
