We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team. The role will be full time on a permanent contract, within a fast-paced environment and will be site-based throughout North East England. Reporting to the Divisional Manager, you will be responsible for a project in Sunderland.
Duties include:
1. Planning and managing the project from initiation to completion.
2. Managing all labour and subcontractors on-site.
3. Reviewing and monitoring project progress to ensure timelines are met.
4. Attending site meetings with stakeholders to discuss progress and address issues.
5. Carrying out regular site inspections to ensure compliance and quality.
6. Assessing and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Completing all required site forms on a daily and weekly basis.
8. Ensuring quality control measures are effectively implemented.
9. Maintaining safety standards and compliance with relevant regulations.
10. Updating and managing the QA process and the Golden Thread documentation.
Requirements and skills:
1. 3-Day First Aid at Work certification.
2. CSCS Gold or Black Card.
3. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction management.
4. Background with a main contractor.
5. Experience in steel and cladding projects.
6. Knowledge of BSR, PCSA, and Golden Thread processes.
7. Proven experience as a construction project manager.
8. In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
9. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
10. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
11. Familiarity with construction/project management software.
12. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
13. Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
14. A team player with strong leadership abilities.
