Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Private Client Solicitor to join our client's team in Harlow. The successful candidate will handle a diverse caseload of private client matters, providing expert legal advice and support to our clients. This role is ideal for a solicitor with a strong background in private client work and a passion for delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage a varied caseload of private client matters including wills, probate, estate planning, and trusts.
2. Draft and advise on wills, lasting powers of attorney, and other testamentary documents.
3. Administer estates, including dealing with both taxable and non-taxable estates.
4. Handle the creation and administration of trusts, including advising trustees on their duties.
5. Provide advice on inheritance tax planning and mitigation strategies.
6. Assist clients with the preparation of deeds of variation.
7. Conduct client meetings to take instructions and provide advice.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in legislation and best practices in private client law.
9. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless service to clients.
10. Participate in business development and marketing activities to promote the firm's private client services.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PQE in private client law.
2. Strong technical knowledge of wills, probate, estate administration, and trusts.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
4. Proven track record of managing a busy caseload and meeting deadlines.
5. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
6. A proactive approach to business development and networking.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
