English, Maths, and Science SEN Tutor - 1:1
We need experienced SEN Tutors to deliver tailored 1:1 tuition packages in English, Maths, and Science to secondary-aged pupils who are currently not in mainstream education.
This is an excellent opportunity for educators looking to step away from the traditional classroom setting and make a meaningful difference in the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable young learners.
Role
As a tutor, you will design and deliver bespoke lessons to help bridge educational gaps for KS3 or KS4 pupils, boosting both their engagement and attainment levels. The role requires a creative and flexible approach to meet the unique needs of each student, fostering a positive and transformative impact on their educational journey.
Position
- Location: Within the community or at the pupil's home in Solihull.
- Role: SEN Tutor (English, Maths, and Science).
- Type of Work: Temporary contract.
- Start Date: Immediate start available.
- Duration: Ongoing until the pupil reintegrates into a new school placement.
- Hours: Part-time (15 hours per week per student). Timings are flexible based on the family's availability.
- Pay Rate: £22+ per hour.
Requirements
- Qualifications: QTS or equivalent.
- Experience: UK classroom teaching experience, ideally with SEND or disengaged pupils.
- Skills: Creativity, patience, and the ability to adapt lesson plans to individual needs.
Eligibility Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Two professional child-related references.
