What you’ll be doing
We’re looking for a digital writer who's passionate and curious about technology and software development, who can inspire, delight, and inform our audience how to be better engineering leaders.
You’ll be responsible for writing a wide variety of content for the LeadDev audience, including industry case studies, interviews, listicles, news analysis, and search-optimised content. The Staff Writer plays an integral part in planning and delivering high-quality content that is consistent with LeadDev's brand and clearly addresses audience needs. You’ll be great at SEO writing and a variety of digital story formats.
In this role you’ll get the chance to reach hundreds of thousands of readers, develop a deep knowledge of technology, and build an incredible network of sources at the top levels of the industry from companies like Google, Spotify, Netflix, OpenAI, and Goldman Sachs. Led by the editor in chief, this varied role will allow you to develop your reporting, writing, researching, commissioning, and editing skills as part of a tight-knit editorial team.
Experience
* Demonstrable experience writing and editing content in a professional environment with a portfolio of published work
* BSc degree in journalism, communications, or relevant field
* Technology industry-specific experience desirable but not essential
Salary range: £26,000-£30,000 depending on experience
Working location: Remote with an expectation to travel to London at least twice a month.

* Ability to transfer knowledge to the rest of the team in a concise manner
* Strong interpersonal, relationship management, and communication skills
* Demonstrable proficiency with content management systems and web analytics
