About the Role
Our Senior IT Engineer at P&J Live will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all IT systems and infrastructure. This role requires a strong background in Cisco technologies, including wireless, switches, telephony, and firewalls. The IT Manager will work closely with various departments to support events and day-to-day operations, ensuring that all IT needs are met promptly and effectively.
Please Note: The role requires flexibility, including some evening and weekend work. The successful candidate will be based at P&J Live in Aberdeen but may need to travel to other venues as required.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain Cisco wireless, switches, telephony, and firewalls.
* Oversee network configuration changes as required for events within the venue.
* Participate in the design and implementation of new IT solutions and improve the resilience of the current environment.
* Schedule and manage upgrades in collaboration with other departments to find suitable outage windows.
* Monitor and troubleshoot network (LAN/WAN) performance issues.
* Document issue tickets and long-term changes.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Provide hands-on support for IT-related issues during events and daily operations.
* Collaborate with the European corporate IT team to ensure alignment with the overall IT strategy.
We are looking for someone with:
* Proven experience with Cisco technologies, including wireless, switches, telephony, and firewalls.
* Strong understanding of network configuration and maintenance.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in an event support environment is a plus.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are highly desirable.
