Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Support Services Manager to lead the delivery of non-clinical services across two of our hospitals - Buckshaw & Euxton Hall. This role is integral to ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The successful candidate will oversee multiple departments, such as housekeeping, catering, portering, security, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the support services team to ensure the smooth running of all non-clinical operational services.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, infection control, food hygiene, and other regulatory standards.
* Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, catering, and facilities in line with Ramsay Health Care UK policies.
* Manage departmental budgets, staff rotas, and service contracts effectively.
* Conduct audits and quality checks regularly and implement improvement plans as needed.
* Work collaboratively with clinical teams to support patient care through excellent service provision.
* Recruit, train, and appraise support services staff, fostering a culture of accountability and customer service.
* Lead on sustainability and environmental initiatives in line with corporate objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience in facilities or support services management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements (e.g. CQC, COSHH, HACCP).
* Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
* Experience with budgeting, rota planning, and supplier management.
