Salary: £21,940.92 per year
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Non-Qualified Art Teacher to join a supportive and innovative educational setting for students aged 11-19 with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC). The role involves delivering engaging and creative Art lessons within a nurturing, “homely” environment designed to support small groups of students.
The successful candidate will focus on building strong, trusting relationships with students, ensuring they feel secure, valued, and engaged in their learning. They will work closely with a team of professionals to help students reach their full potential and develop their academic, social, and personal skills in line with their individual plans.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver creative Art lessons tailored to the specific needs and abilities of students.
• Create a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages outdoor learning where appropriate.
• Employ effective behaviour management and de-escalation techniques to help students manage autism-related behaviours.
