Salary: £55,000 plus bonus and comprehensive package
Location: Hybrid options with offices in London or Leeds
Join a renowned FTSE100 infrastructure giant as they continue to lead in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions across the UK's most critical civil engineering projects. This prestigious organisation is seeking a driven and ambitious Senior Buyer to play a pivotal role in their best-in-class procurement team.
The Role
As a Senior Buyer, you will lead strategic procurement initiatives across a wide range of civils-related categories, encompassing materials, subcontractor services, and infrastructure components essential to delivering major construction and engineering projects. With full ownership of the end-to-end procurement process, you'll be at the forefront of driving commercial excellence and achieving long-term value creation.
In this role, you'll work closely with key stakeholders across iconic civil engineering projects, developing tailored procurement strategies that balance cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and innovation. Leveraging your expertise in supplier management, negotiation, and market analysis, you'll optimise supply chain operations and support the successful delivery of high-profile infrastructure programmes.
Advance your Career
Recognised for its award-winning approach to career development, this FTSE100 leader offers a clear and structured progression path, with regular opportunities for promotion within 12-18 months. Whether advancing within the civils procurement team or transitioning to other specialised areas such as renewable energy, rail, or major infrastructure projects, your career trajectory is yours to shape.
You'll be joining a forward-thinking organisation that champions collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth. If you're a commercially minded procurement professional with strong strategic sourcing skills, an aptitude for stakeholder engagement, and a passion for delivering excellence in a dynamic environment, this is your opportunity to make an impact.
This role is open to candidates with diverse procurement experience, whether you're currently in a generalist role or specialising in categories related to civils, construction, or infrastructure. The organisation is particularly keen to hear from individuals who are ambitious, solutions-oriented, and ready to lead transformative change within a high-performing team.
