In-House Accountant
Location: Kingswood, Bristol
Job Type: Part Time - 1-2 Days Per Month

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive accountant to join our team and take ownership of our internal financial functions, ensuring we maintain robust financial controls and reporting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and tax compliance.
2. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
3. Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficient financial operations.
4. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business acquisition strategies.
5. Manage cash flow and working capital, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations and investments.
6. Handle all tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including VAT, corporation tax, and other business-related taxes.
7. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
8. Provide financial projections, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making.
9. Collaborate with the executive team on M&A activities, performing financial due diligence on potential acquisitions.
10. Implement and maintain financial systems and software for efficient reporting and analysis.
11. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
12. Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
Qualifications:
1. Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
2. Proven experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within a consulting or M&A environment.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
4. Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
5. Proficiency in accounting software (Xero) and Excel.
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
9. Experience with business acquisitions and financial due diligence is a plus.
