Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
We are looking to recruit an exceptional candidate to join our busy phlebotomy team based at Leighton Hospital.
The post holder will be required to work independently and as part of a team when required. They will be asked to liaise with other health care professionals, clinicians, laboratory staff, patients, and/or their representatives.
Main duties of the job
An experienced phlebotomist would be preferred. Our team is fun and energetic; the work is ward-based and can present challenges, but also delivers many rewards. The phlebotomy service prides itself on the experience delivered to our patients, so you have to be willing to think outside of the box and strive to deliver a service to be proud of.
You will need to have great communication skills, be well organized, and demonstrate lots of common sense. You need to have the ability to remain calm and deal with a busy (but rewarding) workplace.
You must be motivated and able to perform high-quality general phlebotomy.
Based on Ward 9 but working across Surgery and Cancer wards - previous experience preferred, but full training will be provided.
