Job description
1. Teaching GCSE key stage 3 and 4 science, must be able to cover all 3 sciences
2. Full time, starting 02/09/
3. Working for a secondary school in Greater Manchester
Responsibilities of a Science Teacher:
4. Working in the Science Department, you will be working with a variety of learners and be expected to meet standards of work
5. Providing additional tutorial and pastoral support to students across the College as required
6. Delivery of GCSE Key stage 3 and 4
Core Purpose:
7. To teach students assigned to the teacher and to ensure that planning, preparation,
8. recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs.
9. To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
10. To monitor and assess student progress to improve their quality of learning and personal
11. growth
12. To undertake the duties of a Form Tutor when required to do so in accordance with the role
13. description
14. To undertake the duties and responsibilities specified by the current STPC document
Requirements of a Science Teacher:
15. A UK recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent
16. Experience of delivering the subject.
17. A science related Degree is essential
18. A current DBS
