Indoor Pig Farm Stockman
Location : Gloucestershire, United Kingdom
Salary : £35, DOE (Depending on Experience)

We are looking for a skilled and committed Indoor Pig Stockman to oversee our -sow indoor unit. The successful candidate will manage the entire lifecycle of pig production, from farrowing to finishing, on a 5-week batch system. This role requires hands-on management, strong leadership, and comprehensive knowledge of pig husbandry and farm operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Farm Management : Oversee all operations of the -sow indoor pig farm, ensuring efficient and productive practices.
2. Team Leadership : Supervise and manage farm workers, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high performance.
3. Animal Welfare : Ensure the health and welfare of all pigs, implementing strict biosecurity measures and best practices.
4. Production Planning : Manage the 5-week batching process from farrowing to finish, optimizing production and maintaining accurate records.
5. Facility Maintenance : Ensure the farm facilities are well-maintained and clean, providing a safe and efficient working environment.
6. Budget Management : Oversee the farm's budget, controlling costs and aiming for profitability.
7. Reporting : Generate regular reports on farm performance, including productivity, health, and welfare metrics.
8. Compliance : Ensure all farming activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications and Experience
9. Proven experience in managing pig farming operations, ideally within an indoor setting.
10. Strong understanding of pig husbandry, health, and welfare practices.
11. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
