This service includes a community based Palliative Care Response Service team and two small community teams. As the Registered Manager, you will oversee operations and uphold the highest standards of safety and service quality. You will play a key role in planning and developing services to meet evolving needs and priorities. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Sunflower Home Care Manager What you'll be doing Reporting to the Head of Hospice Services, you can expect your working day to include the following: Being responsible for the operational management of the service. Taking responsibility for meeting the requirements of the Scottish Social Services Council legal requirements and the regulatory standards of the Care Inspectorate. Being involved with staff management and mentoring, including supervision and training, and regular quality assurance reviews of documentation and processes. Taking a lead role in the planning, development and strategic direction of the service particularly the expansion of the Palliative Care Response Service. Taking the lead in continual service improvement and promotion of a quality service. Liaising and working in partnership with Hospice staff and other partnership organisations. Delegating tasks and responsibilities. Adapting to unforeseen circumstances, using prioritisation and time management skills to use time and resources effectively. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU We hire mostly on personality & potential but here are a few of our requirements To succeed in the role of Sunflower Home Care Manager you will need the following qualities and skills: SVQ Care Services Leadership and Management at SCQF Level 10 or equivalent professional qualification. Experience of managing a care at home team or working with adults in a care setting at a senior level. Knowledge of Care Inspectorate and SSSC standards Full Driving Licence and access to a car Someone who takes great pride in what they do and enjoys working as part of a team.
