We have a requirement for a Radio Operator for Fixed Term cover on a 2/3 rotation.

erform preventive and restorative maintenance duties and tasks safely and effectively on radios and associated equipment, ensure all data entered into maintenance management system (MMS) is of a high quality to provide an auditable trail
TASKS

As a Radio Operator, your activities will include the following:
:
Maintain the integrity and effective operation of the installation Radio Room systems and equipment in accordance with the company and statutory standards and regulations
:
Maintain accurate and up:to:date maintenance and equipment history data in the maintenance management system
:
Safeguarding the reliability, availability and "fit for purpose" operational condition of Radio Room systems and equipment sufficient to meet the operational availability targets of the installation
:
Provide Radio Room duties, including:
:
Operating the telephone exchange, fax and radio equipment
:
Clear articulation and communication of safety announcements
:
Complying with CAA Regulations in regard to helicopter working
:
Provide guidance and direction, as required, for any vessel or helicopter entering the 500:metre zone
:
Compile helicopter manifests for any helicopter coming to Ninian Field
:
Rescue Vessel (ERRV) Co:ordinate and control ERRV duties, witness and record Safety Critical Elements (SCE) for rescue and recovery, plus routine functions
:
Perform servicing, condition monitoring, fault diagnosis and restorative maintenance duties and tasks safely, efficiently and effectively on Radio Room and associated equipment.

Monitor costs associated with spares usage, materials repairs, equipment rentals, contract support services etc.

Cover Planner/Scheduler duties during absence where required to help team

Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment

Demonstrate a high commitment to the CNRI Safety Management System and safe systems of work

Understand and comply with the installation's Safety Case and statutory requirements

Provide technical knowledge and experience in maintaining and operating the platforms Radio Room systems

Provide technical knowledge in evaluating and resolving planning clashes, exploiting opportunities and optimising available resources

Ability to work as a member of a team and contribute to platform operational effectiveness in a flexible manner

Demonstrate skills in communication and problem solving in relation to work scheduling and planning
