Title: ASSISTANT QUANTITY SURVEYOR OVERVIEW Sellafield Limited (SL) has identified the need for project and program management support to deliver 17 major construction projects associated with developing the infrastructure required for the reprocessing and making safe of nuclear waste material, over a 20 year period programme duration. The support SL requires is being procured through the selection of 4 Program and Project Partners (PPP) to form an integrated team, including KBR. KBR’s rapidly growing nuclear team of teams is working at the forefront of the UK’s nuclear space on some of the most exciting new-build, defence and decommissioning programmes. Project Controls and Commercial Services (PCCS) is the mechanism in which Sellafield Ltd have engaged KBR Ltd to provide Commercial and Project Controls Services to the portfolio of enterprise projects, in addition to the original PPP programme. Those services include the provision of some 150 Commercial and Project Controls Professionals across the Sellafield Ltd network of Projects. ASSISTANT QUANTITY SURVEYOR Reporting to the SL Managing QS to provide commercial support to the project commercial team, ensuring that all aspects of project contract administration is undertaken in a timely and accurate manner. Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction lifecycle including general project commercial actions. Understand the importance of collaboration and maintaining good relationships with project managers, other team members and the Contractor’s commercial team. Contract administration and reporting. Analysis of contract change and quotations. Delivery to internal & external project commercial targets. Engagement with project stakeholders including Client commercial team on commercial matters. Ensure the accuracy of data communicated and reported to all stakeholders. The highlighting of any current & potential issues to the Managing QS. Skills and Experience Ideally experience of the NEC Suite of Contracts BSc or studying in related subject or equivalent experience Knowledge of commercial aspects of civil and infrastructure projects Experience of a Contract Management System (CEMAR etc) Capable of obtaining (or currently holds) UK Nuclear industry clearance Due to the nature of our work and security requirements, KBR does not offer sponsorship.
