At Substance to Solution you will be working with people to help them change the direction of their life, grow as an individual, and live life to their full potential. As a Veterans Support Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our veterans' support initiatives by working closely with our dedicated teams. You will assist in developing our support programs, ensuring that veterans are well-informed about the various opportunities available to them, such as treatment pathways, educational resources, health services, and community events. You will help to create a welcoming environment for veterans, providing them with the necessary tools and guidance to navigate their lives successfully. Your efforts will contribute significantly to the overall mission of empowering and uplifting our veterans, ensuring they receive the recognition and support they deserve. Your lived experience will be paramount in supporting Veterans to access the service and utilise the additional opportunities available to them. You will be an integral team member and will play an active role in helping our service users achieve their goals. You will receive training and support within the role. Actively support the Veterans support service to develop and provide quality services to our veterans that are in service with us. Support 1:1 key work session including harm reduction advice and recovery planning. Support Veterans who use our services to achieve their care plan goals Support and empower service users to engage in recovery activities both within Change Grow Live, the wider community and the Veterans support service. Support Veterans to attended appointments with in CGL and partnership agencies.
