Our client, a market leading manufacturer near Leeds, seek to appoint a Manufacturing Engineer who will work closely with the manufacturing teams as they product a range of bespoke products. This role will lead and support a range of new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing improvement projects, for both assembly and machining operations. As Manufacturing Engineer you will play a pivotal role in continuous improvement activities which will include in-housing certain processes, some automation and design of jigs, fixates and tooling (3D CAD skills needed). Manufacturing Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Production Engineer, NPI Engineer, Lean, Continuous Improvement, Machining, Assembly - Address root causes of inefficiencies. Work with quality department and understand 4D/8D/Root Cause Analysis. Implement CAPA - Work with test department to maintain test equipment - Increase OEE and reduce machine downtime. Work with maintenance and advise on TPM/PPM - Make improvements to processes and production techniques.
