As a Product Analyst, you will be working closely with teams across the business to support key strategic projects and day-to-day decision making. This is a chance to really make an impact. Through a combination of discovery work, in-depth analysis and reporting you will shape the future of our digital products right across the business, deepening our understanding of our audiences and offering essential insight on how to maximise the value we bring them.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Working within the Product Analytics team you will:
1. Build a clear understanding of our audiences’ experience and needs to guide product design and development
2. Collaborate closely with other teams, including product managers, software and data engineers and business analysts
3. Work across multiple product areas, supporting decision making across the Product Group
4. Build and maintain dashboards and reports to facilitate data-led decision making
5. Support experimentation by working with product and engineering teams to set up and run experiments, and analyse and draw insight from the results
6. Proactively look for opportunities to optimise audience experience and drive engagement
7. Work to improve and shape our data analysis capabilities through automating data pipelines and working to understand and resolve any data issues
8. Showcase the value of data in driving effective decision making
Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience
Essential
9. Experience in an analytical role, preferably in digital products
10. Analytical, naturally inquisitive and a keen problem-solver
11. Great communication skills and the ability to translate technical information to engage a non-technical audience
12. Experience using SQL to extract and manipulate data
13. A focus on learning and the drive to develop
14. Ability to manage your own time and prioritise accordingly
15. A focus on collaboration and working as part of a cross-functional team
16. Great data visualisation skills
17. An understanding of how digital products use experimentation and experience analysing results of A/B tests
Desirable
18. Knowledge of R or Python
19. Familiarity with data visualisation tools, such as Tableau
20. Experience working with very large datasets
21. Experience working with on-demand audio media products
22. Understanding of data pipelines and/or data modelling
23. Experience with Optimzely integrations and tooling
24. Experience with Data Science & Machine Learning
