About the job
The post is 37 hours per week and is suitable for job share.
The post’s main duties include promoting the uptake of Direct Payments for service users and working with the support provider to ensure a quality statutory service is delivered. The post holder will be required to act as the lead contact within the Local Authority ensuring that Direct Payments are understood, supported, and promoted throughout the directorate by case management teams and by other service providers.
You will manage a small team and be committed to providing the best service possible to the citizens of Cardiff, working in partnership with the support provider and social work teams across the Directorate.
What We Are Looking For From You
1. You will have excellent knowledge of Direct Payments legislation, guidance, and best practice, alongside knowledge of the Social Service & Well-Being Act (2014) Wales.
2. You will have proven experience of working within the Health and/or Social Care Sector alongside experience of contributing to the development of services, policies, and procedures.
3. A relevant management qualification is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
4. The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, and Community Languages would be an advantage.
