About The Position
We are seeking an experienced and data-driven Product Owner to join our Shared Services Development Team. This role will be instrumental in driving the next level of strategic development and growth for the Comply365 platform. The Product Owner will work closely with multiple teams, taking ownership of the various product backlogs, ensuring that the most valuable work is prioritised and delivered to customers and internal stakeholders.
This position requires a strong understanding of customer personas, business needs, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will be adept at communicating product requirements set by the Product Management organisation, gathering user feedback, and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and business users. Working closely with development teams, the Product Owner will play a key role in supporting the development lifecycle and ensuring high-quality standards for product enhancements.
Responsibilities:
* Act as the voice of the customer, translating product requirements from the Product Management team into actionable Epics, Features, and User Stories.
* Own and manage the various product backlogs, ensuring work is prioritised based on business value and customer impact.
* Collaborate with development teams to refine and estimate user stories, ensuring clear acceptance criteria and well-defined personas.
* Ensure all user stories include precise acceptance criteria to facilitate development and automated testing.
* Partner with the development team to refine technical requirements and support sprint planning sessions.
* Ensure through collaboration with the development team that all issues and risks are raised in a timely manner, work with the team to mitigate and resolve any issues that occur and if they cannot be resolved escalate.
* Develop deep expertise in the products and domain, with the ability to advise and mould customer requirements to maintain product integrity whilst catering for customer specific work.
* Champion continuous improvement initiatives in product processes, advocating for best practices across teams.
* Oversee user acceptance testing on significant features to ensure quality and alignment with customer needs.
* Leverage data analytics to assess product performance, inform decision-making, and guide iterative improvements.
Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience (3+ years) as a Product Owner, or similar role within a data-driven environment.
* Experience in SaaS product development, particularly in a regulated industry such as aviation.
* Strong background in data analytics, data management, and business intelligence.
* Experience working with data warehousing, code driven pipelines, and data visualisation platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
* General understanding of data management and analytics principles.
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
* Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and collaborate effectively with development teams.
* Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and data security best practices.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, stakeholder management, and communication abilities.
* Experience conducting user research, gathering feedback, and iterating based on data insights.
* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
