You have a proven track record in producing year-end accounts, attending member committees, and developing business cases. Additionally, you have the ability to lead and develop a team, and navigate change programs in a high-pressure environment. What the Job Involves As a Finance Manager focusing on Revenue, Capital, and Balance Sheet, you will manage a team of up to 6 FTE, ensuring the timely and accurate production of revenue accounting entries and statutory accounts. Key responsibilities include the preparation of the Statement of Accounts and related statutory returns, providing expert financial advice, and managing corporate grants. You will lead in the provision of statutory advice on taxation and VAT, and calculate the Council's bad debt provision. Essential duties involve undertaking reconciliations for the Collection Fund, collaborating in developing capital and treasury strategies, and coordinating asset valuations. You will support capital strategy development in line with medium-term financial strategies and ensure compliance with accounting codes of practice for all revenue and capital issues.
