ICQA Operations Manager, UK Customer Fulfillment
DESCRIPTION
Do you aim to have a dynamic impact on the world? Are you up for creating solutions and solving tomorrow's problems today? Then we have the opportunity for you! We are looking to hire an ICQA Operations Manager to take ownership of our fulfillment centers Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) team. Our fulfillment centers (FC) sit at the heart of Amazon's rapidly growing operations network: they are where we manage our fast-moving inventory. In each fulfillment center, our teams stow deliveries, pick products, package them up and ship them out; each of these groups have played their part in taking us where we are today. These fulfillment centers are fast-paced and high reward environments, where adherence to policies and procedures is key. We need a leader that ensures we deliver as reliably as ever to our customers, while making sure our teams deliver on customer obsession.
Key job responsibilities
1. Lead and supervise a team of ICQA Area Managers and hourly Associates (including Team Leads and Data Analyst) assigned to inventory control, quality assurance and problem-solving operations within the fulfillment center.
2. Partner with Operations and other Support teams to establish, influence and adhere to policies and procedures.
3. Ensure compliance with safety programs and SOX regulations.
4. Analyze inventory defects, problem-solve issues or customer defects data to identify corresponding action plans that improve quality.
5. Conduct short-term (weekly) and mid-term (month/quarter) labor plans, forecasting capacity needs, staffing plans and schedules.
6. Support in interviewing and training fulfillment center Area Managers.
A day in the life
You will lead a department responsible for inventory control, quality assurance and problem-solving operations. Your day typically starts with a meeting with the fulfillment centers leadership team, where you'll review previous day performance and address any ongoing issues. Throughout the day, you will review inventory discrepancies and quality performance, analyze data, looking for trends and opportunities for process improvement, collaborating with your own team of Area Managers and hourly Associates, with other partners in FC operations or with central teams that own Catalogue, Procurement, Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Loss Prevention and Program Management. You will spend time on the floor, observing processes and ensuring safety standards are maintained in your area. You'll also dedicate time developing your Area Managers providing feedback and identifying training needs. You will finish the day knowing you've contributed to maintaining inventory accuracy, resolving quality challenges, and ultimately ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient and accurate fulfillment operations.
