Business Development Manager – Facilities Maintenance
Location: In Office – Eagle House, Rochester.
Salary: 35-45K per annum

We are a growing facilities maintenance company providing high-quality services to local authorities and the commercial sector. With an excellent track record and ambitious expansion plans, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth, win new contracts, and build strong industry relationships.
The Role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding our client base, developing tender opportunities, and securing long-term contracts. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing bids and tenders, and building strong relationships with key decision-makers in the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in local authority and commercial sectors.
* Lead PQQs (Pre-Qualification Questionnaires), procurement, and tender processes.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local government procurement teams and commercial clients.
* Manage the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification to contract win.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service offerings align with market needs.
* Track industry trends and competitor activity to inform strategic business decisions.
* Meet and exceed sales targets and business development KPIs.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in business development, procurement, or tender management within facilities maintenance, construction, or related industries
* Strong understanding of PQQs, procurement processes, and tendering
* A solid network within local authorities and/or the commercial sector
* Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* A proactive, results-driven mindset with a passion for business growth.
* Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in facilities management (desirable).
