JOB TITLE: Cook Aide STATUS: Nonexempt
REPORTS TO: Nutritionist Specialist/Center Director
SALARY: $1142.94 bi-weekly DAYS: 240

Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting the Food Service Manager with preparation of meals for all classrooms, as well as cleaning the kitchen and kitchen equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Assists Food Service Manager with preparing food.
* Assists in stocking/replenishing food inventory.
* Assists in daily cleaning/sanitation of equipment and work areas.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Supports and understands the mission of the Partnership.
* Other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
Work Relationships and Scope:
Reports directly to the Center Director. Regular interaction with co-workers and children.
Measure of Performance:
Quality, accuracy, timeliness, reliability, and thoroughness of work performed; gains the trust and respect of the Community Services Team Leader and co-workers. Communicates effectively (written and verbally); responsive to the requests and information needs of the clients and volunteers; commitment and loyalty to the Partnership; maintenance of confidential information.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High school education or GED. Experience working in food service or food preparation environment helpful. Experience working with kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals. Cooking and delivery experience. Qualifications include good organization skills, dependent worker, team player, caring and service-oriented attitude, resourceful, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a kitchen and at meal sites with moderate exposure to injury. This position requires sitting, standing, bending, and lifting. This position requires a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
