NFS (Newcastle Furniture Service) is part of Newcastle City Councils commercial arm NCC, responsible for the management of over 26,500 homes owned by them and is one of the largest property management organisations in the region. We provide quality homes together with person-centred support.
We promote staff health and wellbeing and are committed to making NFS an amazing workplace where people feel valued and supported.
We offer a forward-thinking and open environment where our people are empowered to make a difference, coupled with competitive salaries and a wide range of benefits.
The role:
Successful businesses don’t stand still; they need to be constantly innovating, improving, and developing, and that’s why it is such an exciting opportunity.
We deliver and install furniture items to houses across the UK, predominantly in the Northeast; however, we are growing and have new contracts covering the four corners of the UK.
Our success means we are looking for a Customer Account Officer to help us manage customer accounts, liaise with customers and contract managers on customer accounts, place furniture orders on internal systems, raise purchase orders, and handle invoice queries.
This role is for a 2-year fixed-term contract and is a hybrid role working from home on successful completion of role induction and capabilities. This would be 3 days from home and 2 in the office, totaling 37 hours per week.
The person:
Our customers are at the forefront of our business. We need individuals who care about delivering excellent customer service and take pride in what they do. Your positive attitude will motivate and influence others to do the same. You must also possess a flexible approach to challenging customer queries.
In return, we offer a competitive salary, opportunities for overtime, 23 days holiday increasing to 28 days after 5 years of service, 8 bank holidays, time off between Christmas and New Year, discounted beds and mattresses, and salary sacrifice schemes for cars, bikes, and home electronics. We invest in our staff, providing time and opportunities to develop their work-related skills and knowledge in a way that best suits their individual needs.
