Income Officer
Location: Addlestone
Contract: £16.77 per hour
Our client is looking for an experienced Income Officer.
The Income Officer will review rent arrears, implement monitoring processes, and ensure cases are progressed.
Management of the landlord services associated with the management of the Council’s social housing stock, including a temporary accommodation portfolio and leasehold management. Responsible for the collection of rental income, ensuring appropriate action is taken to reduce arrears and using relevant systems to monitor performance, taking action as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To ensure that rental and service charge income is maximised with a proportionate and flexible approach to the process.
2. Ensuring that all the policies, procedures, and work practices are in line with current legislation, government guidance, meet the requirements of the Regulator of Social Housing, and that residents are provided with the services and standards to which they are entitled under their Tenancy Agreement.
Essential Qualifications:
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent working experience.
2. Full clean Driving Licence.
3. Professional qualification in Housing.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Management Qualification.
2. Evidence of extensive continual professional development.
Essential Working Experience:
1. Proven successful track record of income collection management within a housing environment. Minimum of 3 years multidisciplinary line management responsibility.
2. Experience of managing rent collection.
3. A track record of developing & implementing continuous improvement in service delivery and improved outcomes.
Desirable Working Experience:
1. Experience of working for a Local Authority landlord.
2. Performance management in a target-driven environment.
3. Accomplished analytical & decision-making skills.
4. Excellent verbal & written communication, including report writing.
5. Experience of leading & managing an effective income collection service.
6. Experience of partnership working both internally and externally, and of quickly establishing trust and credibility.
