LONDON OFFICE
Up to £55,000 DOE
+ £15,000 commission
No less than 5 years sales experience is required with a proven track record in sales of some of the following: Membership, Events (generally), exhibiting, publications and is particularly suitable for past experience related to sport or the business of sport.
Expert or new to market multi-sector companies supported by 3 Tiers of Membership and delivered as a service.
1. Sports Property owners seeking to be introduced to new commercial partners and to find host destinations for their events.
2. Destinations (Cities and Venues) seeking to host sports events and leverage relationships.
Additionally:
1. 2 x annual Summits as major milestones for sales activities and similar projects on behalf of Government Agencies.
Previous projects include The World Cup and The Olympics.
Critical Success Factors: The ability to deliver sales and coordinate and supervise other sales related activities.
Summary of the Role:
1. To close new business and grow a pipeline of opportunities daily within a rolling 12 month plan of clearly defined targets.
2. Ensure close tracking of all opportunities, personally and within the team, backed up by robust and clear commercial proposals.
3. Contribute to the marketing input produced by the rest of the team to ensure a high market profile.
4. Support the planning and delivery of activities as one of the most senior roles in the business.
5. Act as an introducer and or facilitator at events and a high-profile representative of the business.
Successful candidates for this role will be ambitious to achieve high levels of commission and personal and professional growth in the business.
Place of Employment: Central London. Occasional visits to client offices and external events. Some international travel may be necessary from time to time.
Ways of Working: This is a standard office hours' role, less attendance at networking events which will require occasional evening attendance or meeting demanding deadlines. In the event of attending non-London events (to include international activities), extended absence from the office could be in the region of 7 days subject to prior consultation.
Remuneration and Employment Terms:
1. Up to £55,000 Base salary depending on experience plus generous commission above cost recover paid quarterly (circa £15,000).
2. Salary review at 6 months to assess success and grounds to adjust.
3. Pre agreed expenses to be confirmed in writing and paid monthly.
4. Contributions to Pension schemes.
5. Pro-rated holiday entitlement 21 days + stats.
