The Surgery, Theatres, Anaesthetics and Endoscopy Care Group is looking for an inspirational nurse to be the leader for Surgical Ward 3 at the Princes Royal University Hospital part of King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Surgery Ward 3 is a female surgical ward caring for patients who are admitted via elective and non-elective surgical pathways. These specialities include gynaecology and general surgery.

Main duties of the job
1. To assume responsibility for the surgical ward and provide clinical leadership to the nursing team.
2. To lead and develop the nursing team in the care of surgical patients and assist in the development of clinical competencies.
3. To provide expert, holistic care of a high standard to both the patients and their relatives within King's College Hospital.
4. To act as a clinical resource within the ward and across the Care Group as necessary.
5. To be an effective clinical leader and role model with good delegation and supervisory abilities.
6. To be a safe and effective practitioner able to provide patients and relatives with high quality nursing care
7. To undertake managerial responsibilities ensuring staff management is safe, effective and within the assigned budget.
8. Strong involvement in recruitment and retention programmes.
9. To work alongside the multi-disciplinary team and ward triumvirate to enhance patient care and experience.
