About the Role As Head of MFL, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and driving the success of the Modern Foreign Languages department. Your responsibilities will include: Providing visionary leadership and strategic direction for the MFL department. Overseeing the development, implementation, and delivery of a stimulating and rigorous MFL curriculum across all key stages (KS3, KS4, and KS5). Inspiring, motivating, and leading a team of talented MFL teachers, fostering a collaborative and dynamic learning environment. Championing the importance of MFL education within the school community and advocating for its integration into the broader curriculum. Managing departmental resources effectively, ensuring optimal utilization of funds and equipment. Monitoring and evaluating student progress, implementing strategies to raise attainment and achievement. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child's progress in MFL. About You You possess a relevant degree in a Modern Foreign Language and hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. You boast extensive experience teaching MFL across different key stages, with a proven track record of success in raising student achievement. You are a passionate and inspiring leader with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
