Chester Race Company have the fantastic opportunity for an IT & EPOS Assistant to join the Operations team, based in the historic centre of Chester on a casual contract.
This role will be pivotal in providing prompt and effective solutions to ensure smooth operations throughout the day using their basic understanding of IT and hardware. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and fixing tills and terminals, as well as helping set up hardware for each event.

General responsibilities include:
* Set up, configure and resolve any technical issues with tills, printers, and payment device terminals.
* Ensure all hardware components are correctly installed and operational.
* Provide on-site troubleshooting and support for EPOS systems and hardware during race days.
* Assist with routine maintenance checks on all IT and EPOS equipment to prevent issues.
* Assist with hardware updates and replacements as needed.
* Collaborate and communicate with other teams to ensure all systems are ready for use and address any technical needs.
The successful IT & EPOS Assistant will have the following skills:
* Basic knowledge of IT and hardware with ideally some experience with EPOS systems.
* Previous experience in a similar role within a hospitality or event environment is a plus.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* Highly organized with attention to detail.
* Proactive and able to work independently.
* Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to providing excellent service.
Rate of pay (inclusive of holiday pay):
£15.25 per hour
Shift availability:
Every and all Chester and Bangor-on-Dee race days with a few preparation shifts prior to a race day. These run March - October and a typical race day tends to be 10 hours.
